Research Analyst

Position Summary

The Research Analyst is responsible for providing technical assistance and analyzing data for senior research staff (economists) for employment related economic research projects. The individual works closely with senior research staff to extract data, perform quality checks, conduct analysis, confirm results meet specifications while following project descriptions and data requirement outlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assemble required data including format design and content of analytic databases, perform outline statistical regression analysis in response to research questions. Collaborate with senior research staff to discuss and resolve issues that arise from data set programming and analysis of data. Assist with generating exhibits to integrate with reports and document results. Perform other duties and analytic tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science or related field. Master's degree a plus. Technical writing regarding data sources, variable definitions and other data set design issues may be required.

Education and Experience

Experience and demonstrated ability to use computer packages particularly Stata, statistical analysis, and relevant Microsoft Office software.
